Titan of the Month July 2022 – Jackie Scott

Scott Jackie

My name is Jackie Scott. I am 32 and work as a Softgoods Designer. I discovered CrossFit right after college in 2012. I grew up playing sports and played lacrosse in college so finding CrossFit felt very fitting, just transiting from a team sport.

Why did you end up sticking with CrossFit?

I’ve been a long-time member of 3 CrossFit gyms (CrossFit Steadfast, GA), (CrossFit 1013, IL) and now Titan CrossFit and the best part about CrossFit is the people, I love the community aspect that it brings. I recently moved back to MD this past November and was happy to have found Titan CrossFit, I felt very welcomed and quickly felt a part of the community.

I’ve learned and still learning that I’m capable of so much more than I think I am; especially now having Coach Randi’s voice in the back of my mind convincing me: I can go heavier, or I can do that movement RX. CrossFit is a continuous game of challenging and improving yourself, which is something I want to continue to do and that keeps me coming back.

What achievement or PR are you most proud of, and what is your next goal you’re working toward?

I recently discovered that I can do kipping handstand push-ups, which was exciting! Thanks to good coaching tips and encouragement.

Goals I’m working towards:

-Consistent kipping Toes-2-Bar

-Improving my squat form and mobility

-Becoming a Titan Commitment Member

What advice would you give to someone who is New Or Considering Trying CrossFit?

My advice would be, just show up! That’s been my motto on days I don’t feel like working out. Once you’re there and do the workout, you’re always happy you went!
